I am fortunate to have such dedicated and passionate teachers around me and I value their commitment and support. It has been an honour to be part of some of their training journeys and be there when they have graduated.
Being a teacher IS the MOST REWARDING profession as you make such a difference in the life of a child. It is also a privilege to work with our Parents who come from so many different ethnic backgrounds, and support them as “first teachers”. It is a pleasure to provide this service to the community, we have evolved by listening to Parents and making changes wherever possible to meet their needs. I know our service is affordable and I am proud of what we have achieved, but we could not have done this without the support of Parents, Teachers and of course children.
I am very fortunate to start my teaching career here at Superstart. I work with a wonderful team and have lovely children in my care as well as I get the opportunity to work alongside great Parents. I am very passionate about early childhood teaching.
I believe that as an Early Childhood educator, I am responsible for providing children with a fun, stimulating and safe environment where they have the opportunity to explore, learn and grow into competent and confident learners. The most important and rewarding part of this profession is the relationships we build with each individual child which makes their learning positive and achievable. As teachers we get the opportunity to learn something new from the children as well. Superstart Pre School is really a super, great place to be, so be sure to start your child’s learning and development in this friendly and respectful environment.
My name is Audrey (Xiutong) Liu. I am a New Zealander with a Chinese background. I have ten years of experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE). It is a privilege to see children under our care grow and achieve their developmental milestones. This gives me much joy and satisfaction in my teaching profession.
I graduated with a Degree of ECE in 2010. I am a fully registered teacher. I have two children, my daughter is 12 years old and my son is 8. My husband is also an ECE teacher. It is my pleasure to be a part of your child’s growing journey. I see teaching in ECE as such a privilege and rewarding profession. Rewarding as I see changes take place as children grow, develop and learn in this environment. My approach to teaching is to guide and support children’s learning and development; and to always keep an open mind.
Sat shri akal, Namaste, Kiaora and greetings to all, my name is Jasminder, I’m so excited to be part of Superstart childcare and a teacher in Takahe room. I develop significant relationship with each child and this is achieved form genuine love, empathy, kindness and a bundle of enthusiasm for the wonder to be found through discovering our world and each other.
I was born and raised in India. I am married and got two beautiful girls. I am post graduate in Finance but decided to become teacher and graduate with Bachelor of Education in Teaching from Auckland University. My Philosophy is as a teacher would be supporting and enlightening the young impressible minds of those individuals in which need to learn the basic fundamental of life and social surroundings.
Kia Ora, my name is Erika and I am a qualified and provisionally registered teacher in the Takahe room. I have two young children who attend Superstart Childcare. I believe all children are capable learners, ready to grow and develop independence; who bring their own knowledge and experience with them into the centre environment to share with others.
Learning in a fun, stimulating environment supports our tamariki to grow and develop into happy and secure beings, effective in communication and capable of empathy for others. I believe working together with parents and whaanau is vital to building a strong foundation for our tamariki.

I have been living in Auckland since 2000. It is my pleasure to work at Superstart. Superstart to me is more than a place to work. It is a place where I can be a part of laying the foundation for young learners, to prepare them for future learning. I respect and encourage children’s own culture and languages in the centre.
I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to work with such a professional teaching and management team at Superstart, and would like to make my contribution to the development of Superstart.
Nice to meet you all at Superstart. I have been working as an ECE teacher since 2014. I believe that love, care and respect are essentials to the children. I enjoyed being an early childhood teacher and one of the most wonderful thing is to grow and learn with children.
I come from the beautiful friendly island of Tonga. I am a widow and live with my children and grandchildren. This is a challenge for me to be able to make a difference in children’s lives.
I have worked at Superstart Pre School for almost four years now. I love and enjoy being around children because I know and believe it is a teachers responsibilities to make a difference in their lives. It is a super environment and friendly parents and teachers. Superstart is the super place for children to start their learning skills and prepare them to fly high in their education.
I am Litao Chen and have been living in New Zealand for 20 years after moving here from China. I graduated from Canterbury University with a Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching and have been working in early childhood service for 13 years.
As a registered and qualified educator, I believe that children learn in a unique way and need a programme plan that stimulates their individual needs. I encourage children to be confident, competent learners and take ownership of their learning environment.
Superstart is still a big part of our family. My daughter had spent almost two years here before going to School and she still loves coming back for the Superstart Holiday Programme.
I chose Superstart for her early education because of Lyn. She is very much a ‘hands-on’ person. Even despite her busy schedule, she is still very much a part of the children’s lives. She will also spend time with children who need extra support and guidance. I have seen first-hand her ‘magic touch’ on all the children and that makes me want to help out in any way I can. I love working for someone I have a lot of respect for. I am very thankful for everything.
