I have been living in Auckland since 2000. It is my pleasure to work at Superstart. Superstart to me is more than a place to work. It is a place where I can be a part of laying the foundation for young learners, to prepare them for future learning. I respect and encourage children’s own culture and languages in the centre.
I appreciate that I was given the opportunity to work with such a professional teaching and management team at Superstart, and would like to make my contribution to the development of Superstart.

Kia ora, my name is Fiona Zhang. I have worked in Early childhood for more than 10 years. I feel very privileged to be working alongside such a supportive team in Superstart Childcare. I enjoy having fun with the children while also sharing their learning journey. I believe children learn best through play and education at their own pace, level and ability and most importantly when they feel safe and secure in trusting relationships.
In Superstart, we are ensuring to build relationships between teachers, parents and hānau, based on mutual trust and respect, strengthen partnerships for learning. Our teachers are interested in children - who they are and what they bring to their learning. Our interactions with children create opportunities for meaningful conversations that provoke and extend children’s thinking. Assessment practice enables educators to notice, recognise and respond to children’s emerging interests and strengths. We are Montessori Education Centre, the management team provide a well-resourced and cared-for environment that recognises and responds to the individuality and uniqueness of each child.
